    by coach

    Hi! teachers.

Even the best players will often sit at the bench, especially on extremely good teams. Therefore, the main mission by coach is to improve the morale of the players that sit on the bench.

I think coach is a countable noun. So is by a coach or by coaches more
    appropriate than by coach?

If by coach is okay, why is an article omitted? please give me your explanations!

    Thanks!
