    Capitalizations

Which sentence is correct? Should post office be capitalized or not?

    1. I went to my local Post Office.
    2. I went to my local post office.

    Re: Capitalizations

In the US, you would not capitalize it.

    Hi,
Barb is right, it is not capitalized unless it is mentioned along with its specific location.
I went to "my local" Post Office seems ok as you mention its location, as in:
I went to Victoria Station Post Office or London Bridge POst Office etc.
