    I'm not a teacher.

How do we address more than one person?

'Peter Black and company' sounds like a company name to me.

Maybe you could be more specific...eg. Peter Black and the staff of XXX Department.

What I meant was "company" for his company of friends, eg. mr.black and his three friends I dont know their names at that time...

If you don't know the names or titles of the other people, I would leave them out of the salutation. Instead, say "Dr. Mr. Black" and then in the introduction of your letter something like "I would like to offer you and your colleagues..." or "I am writing you and your staff because..."
