    Re: Question about usage

    I am agreed
    I am being agreed
    I was agreed
    I was being agreed
    I have been agreed
    I had been agreed
    I will be agreed
    I would be agreed
    I would have been agreed
    to be agreed
    to have been agreed
    being agreed
    having been agreed

I can't recall have I ever used these aspects? probably not.

    Re: Question about usage

It doesn't sit very naturally with me. Is there a reason you don't want to just say "I agree."?

    Re: Question about usage

be agreed (on / about sth.) / be agreed that

if people are agreed or something is agreed everyone has the same opionion about something.

    Source: Oxford Advaced Learner's Dic.

    eg.

Are we all agreed on this?
It was agreed that we all should hold this meeting.

"We're agreed on expediting the UN resolution for a joint UN-African Union peace force", said Mr. Bush.

It seems to me that "be agreed" is used impersonal.

    Re: Question about usage

Yeah, the "we are agreed" sounds okay, but not the single-person "I am agreed." Do you really find this used much?

Sorry, it was just meant to help clarify this question.

I'm a bit confused /irritated by your reaction.

Some people may find it useful / helpful, others may not. That applies to every post in this forum.
We should appreciate the efforts that people make.

Your first answer wasn't much more helpful (for me!) than mine was. That's why I looked it up in my dictionary, wondered about the entry and decided to post it here in order to discuss it.

Maybe too thin-skinned today. But sometimes I feel that I have to be perfect although I'm a learner.

    Re: Question about usage

    We are agreed...

It's in use with Mr. Bush only. All must agree to him.
