what does the underlined text mean? I used to think that it meant "with little/few" but it doesn't seem to be the case. Nothing less than
a few more examples:
" It's really remarkable, though, because you say short of George Bush and here we have the Soviet leader in this country,..." apart from [though the sentence does not make sense.]
"Now, that's far short of the goal that the National Cancer Institute and other groups have set for..." less than
"Do you think we're short of breath here?" can't breath properly
"I am short of money." don't have enough
