    feel ill

    I would like to know the meaning of "feel ill" in the next sentence.

    The thought of eating forbidden foods can cause an individual to feel ill.

    The thought of eating forbidden foods(like cows in India) can cause an individual to feel sick or uncomfortable.

    They have a sensation of sickness [vomiting] at the thought of eating something they are not allowed to eat.
