    impresonal expression

    it is essential that the tempreture is not elevated to a point where the substance formed may become unstable and decomposed into its constituent elemints.

    this sentence is wrong, it become right if the underline phrase is not become not be. why? can you expalin it to me please, thanks.

    There should be only one main verb per simplex clause:

    That the tempreture not be elevated to a point where the substance formed may become unstable and decomposed into its constituent elements is essential.

    It is essential that the tempreture not be elevated to a point where the substance formed may become unstable and decomposed into its constituent elements.
    Note that, the underlined portion functions as the (notional) subject.

    it is essential that temperature (should) not be elevated.....

    "Should" is omitted here, I think.
    Please forgive me if I'm wrong.
