Had or Had been, For or to

    Gentlemen,

How to narrate the sentence correctly?

I heard that he had transferred for/to some other place.

    Or

I heard that he had been transferred for/to some other place.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
It depends on the intended meaning, Parabashi. 'He had transferred' means/suggests that it was his idea, his plan, his request while ''He had been transferred (by sb)' suggests that someone else made the decision.

    You need 'to' not 'for'.
