    You can change the original sentence if you like.

    Maybe like '____ candidate will get elected cannot be predicted.'

    Or like 'People cannot predict _______ candidate will get elected.'


    Sounds the original one is not natural English.

    "People cannot predict which candidate will get/be elected." is good.
