what is the proper way to sign a letter when writing a letter to the First Lady of NY. The letter is recognizing her efforts with a particular issue and letting her know she is being honored with an award.

    Re: proper signature

You should address her by her normal title and name:

    "Dear Mrs xxxxxx,"

So the ending will be "Yours sincerely" or "Yours very sincerely".
