    Why is this incorrect?

Hi, all. I have been reading all the rules of when to use an "s" at the end of nouns, verbs, etc. But I can't manage to come up with a logical explanation as to why the following is incorrect:

    MY TROUSERS SIZE

    Help!

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Why is this incorrect?

Oh, this I know. But my question (had I actually made it ... I didn't, he he) would be why do we say "the size of my trousers", and not "my trousers size". I mean, we spend all this time telling students that we must say "Bob's car" instead of "the car of Bob" and so on. So why does it not work like that with expressions such as the one above?

We don't say table's cloth.Do we?Generally possessives are not used for things.

Hence, the size of my trousers.

I just knew it had to be as simple as that.
