    Another question on "Pair"

    We usually say,

    "many/several/five pairs of socks/trousers/shoes."
    But
    Can we say,
    "many/several/five pair of socks/trousers/shoes."

    Hi,
    You can't say that way, since many/several should be followed by plural nouns. However, you can say:

    the five millionth pair of shoes
