    Phrase

    Praised sth as sth
    Regard sth as sth

I.In above phrases, the last "sth" must be a noun?

II. Is there any rule that the prep"as" must be followed by nouns, not other words?

    Please.

It could be a noun or a noun phrase.

I don't think there are rules that say such.
