    'had better' and 'should'???

    Hello,
    Could anyone please tell me what the difference between 'had better' and 'should' is?

    "Had better" tends to be more of a demand. At least, that's the way I see it.

    Context is always important. Also, changing the pronoun makes a difference. For example, "We should go inside" is more of a suggestion, and "You should go inside" is more of a demand.
    You must take your pills. (Take your pills. Now!)
    You had better take your pills. (I insist that you take your pills.)
    You should take your pills. (It would be a good idea for you to take your pills.)
