    help: reqesting something

I want to write a mail to my boss requesting a pen drive, what should I write?

    1) Requesting you to provide / give me a pen drive , as it is required for my day to day work

    or
    2) Please provide me a pen drive , it will help me a lot when I am out of (the) office.

    or
    3) Pl. provide me a pen drive so that I can work from out of office / home.

"Please provide me with ...." is this only for mail communication or can we use it in verbal communication ?

It is used for both, becase provide is a verb when used to supply or furnish something, that 'something' can be joined with the sentence by a preopsition 'with' .

While writing : kindly provide with me a pen drive as it will help me a lot in my office work and to do office work at home.

While speaking : Please provide me with a pen drive as it will help me a lot in our office work and at home as well.

I think...the underlined part sounds a little strange...
    What do you think?
