    3 questions

    1) Can I say: My watch strap has been torn apart or My watch strap has been broken?

2)Does a disident mean the same as a reactionary?

    3) In ensuing years people____ into the state to try their luck
    a) poured
    b) flooded

The answer given is a but I think b will also do, doesn't it?
