    the/a, an

I always thought that article 'the' is used at the beginning of a noun group, say, 'The end of this week'. But yesterday I've read a poem with a title: 'Where love is a scream of anguish'. Who is right?

It is one of those sentences where articles are omitted.
    Look at these sentences:
    Man is immortal.
    Gold is a precious metal.
    Love is blind.
Article is omitted before a common noun used in it's widest sense.

Sorry, I meant an article before 'a scream of anguish' not before 'love'

Only one end to a week, hence 'the', PG. There can be many screams of anguish, hence 'a'.
