    what is differences between already and yet?

    Already is used in affirmative sentences.
    Yet is used either in negative or interrogative sentences.


    They have already left.
    They have not left yet.
    Have they left yet?

    "Already" can be used in questions to show surprise:

    Is he down there already? (It means that you are surprised that he is down in a very unexpectedly short time).
