    the long s

    unfortunately there's no key on the cpu keyboard to replicate the long s that im talking bout, but hopefully ul no wt i mean. U no the long s often found in texts from the early moderrn english era, is this a survived rune from the anglo saxon alphabet, or just a since negelcted Roman alphabet grapheme?

    also, there seems to be two kinds of now archaic 's' graphemes in use during the middle english era. one looks like an 'f' and the otherr is identical to the 'sh' phoneme symbol from the ipa. did both graphemes have the same fuction?
