    when do we use went as a verb and when we use gone as a verb

    (to) go (simple present)
    went (simple past)
    has / have gone (present perfect)
    had gone (past perfect)

    I went to the cinema last Friday.
    He went into town this morning.

    She has already gone their.
    They have just gone home.

    We had gone for a walk before we went to the theatre.

    The prices have gone up.(passive voice).

    He has gone out.(passive).
    This is in addition to what Snowcake has posted.
