I consulted Cambridge English P0ronouncing Dictionary and I found that if the "schewa"sound is clear in pronounciation it is written with the normal transcription letters as in potato /pə`teIƯ/,
while if it wasn't clear in pronunciatin it's written above the transcribed letters as in Britain
/`brIt n/
