    Hello, just one question, please.

    How do I use the phrase" As a result", can a positive result go with it? Or just a negative result goes with it.

    As a result of her laziness, she had to drop out of school.

    The teacher arrived late as a result of the traffic jam.

    A lot of Chinese towns suffered floods as a result of a strong storm.

    The coast was polluted as result of the toxic waste.

    But I am not a teacher.

    There were twenty experiments testing the two hypothesis. As a result the first one was discarded.
