    It took it

    Hi,

    "I assumed that she would learn how to take shorthand after this course."

    Instead of saying "I assumed that", can I say "I took it"?
    Is it the same meaning as the original one?

    Yes, I'd say that they are very similar in meaning, Mylevt.

    I assumed sth would be the case.

    I took it that sth would be the case.
