    meant/ have been meaning

    Hi again
    1) I've been meaning to do it.
    2)I meant to do it.
I think they are diffrent in meaning. Therfore:
    1) means that; I may do it now or later.
    2) conveys that I didn't really do it in the past.
    Right!!

    1) I've been meaning to do it. I have had the intention to do it for some time and I may do it at some unspecified moment.
2)I meant to do it. I had the intention to do it but I didn't.
