    modifiers

I am trying to remember if "it" is a proper modifier in the following sentence. Could someone please validate and/or correct?

I would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes and allow me the opportunity to bring you up to date on what we can bring to your team.

    Thank you.

    It's a pronoun: it = if you could ...
Ex: If you could take a few minutes and allow me the opportunity to bring you up to date on what we can bring to your team, I would appreciate it.
