    catch it

    Hi,

    catch it
to be punished by someone such as a parent or teacher because you have done something wrong
"If his mom finds out he'll really catch it."

Is the phrase "catch it" no longer in use?
If it sounds obsolete, what would you say instead?

    Re: catch it

It's not obsolete. There may be other slang terms around, like "get it in the neck".

Is the phrase "catch it" in common use in the UK, not in the US?
