    Question use of since and for in present perfct tense

    I would like to know more about how and when we use since and for in present perfect tense.

    FOR, a length of time
    SINCE, a starting time

    Ex: I have been married for 10 years. <length of time>
    Ex: I have been married since 1998. <starting time>
