    enrollment and staff

    Dear teachers,

I have one question to ask.

The class has a/an __ of 27 students.

    a. enrollment b. staff

The key is "b". The reason for this is that "b" refers to all the students in the class while "a" refers to all the students of a university. Is that right?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you in advance.

    Jiang

    a. enrollment
    b. staff

The problem here is that students are not 'staff'. (How can b. be the correct choice?)
