Man's love is of man's life a thing apart

    Context:
She has no choice either of gender or the burdens associated with being female. Perhaps she is thinking of Byron's statement: "Man's love is of man's life a thing apart, 'Tis woman's whole existence--"

Man's love is of man's life a thing apart = Man's love is a thing that is apart of man's life?

    What about?

Man's love is separate (a thing apart) from man's life. :D
