cut off the link to the outside world

    1. Suppose a group of soldiers are asked to train confined in a special training-center and during this kind of training, they are asked to cut off contact with the outside world, then what kind of the training is?

    2. What is such a school which is similar to a boarding school, but students there are not allowed to go home or even to go out on weekdays because they are expected of a higher concentration on their study?
Some people told me it is a closed school, which I take doubt to believe because it sounds like that the school has already been shut down.

How do you natives say them?

    Many thanks in advance.

MajorLink proudly announces the introduction of the SenPass Campus Smart Card solution. SenPass is a multi-application smart card platform that empowers the school to issue its own smart card. The card is not just a new generation student ID card for identification and access purposes. It can also be used to pay for a variety of goods and services such as photocopying, laser printing, snacks and other small amount of transactions within the “closed system” school campus.

    Thank you, but
please spare me a few more seconds:

Can the “closed system” school be a right alternative for saying the so-called boarding school mentioned in the topic thread? And can the policy this kind of schools takes be called the “closed system” management?

It's really hard to say thses things characteristic of China?

A boarding school with total guardianship management.

Does this phrase make some sense?
