    According to my knowledge, it's correct.
    The time indicator is 'yesterday', hence past tense is used.

    Pardon me,I forgot to mention that one uses the 'verb in present tense' for negative sentences in past tense:

    I didn't see you yesterday
    He didn't go to school last Monday.
    She didn't wait for three hours.
    Did John train hard for the game?
