    In my test, there are the following 2 questions:

    5. ____ she to call you immediately, what would you do?
    A) Do
    B) If
    C) Were
    D) Unless
    E) Providing

    6. ____ he here, how would you behave?
    A) Did
    B)Were
    C) If
    D) Unless
    E) As soon as


    And I don't know why the correct answers are C) and B)

    They convert to
    Were she to call you ... or Were he here...

    Was she to call you immediatelly what would you do?
    Was he here how would you behave?

    If she was(were) to call you immediatelly what would you do?
    If he was(were) here how would you behave?

    These are conditionals.

    in additon

    If he had known he'd have come.
    Had he known...

    Inversion's used to leave the IF out of the sentence.
