    Sleep over

I have heard phrases like 'sleep over it' - I have noticed that this is normally used in the context where you are facing an issue and dont have an immediate solution. Can some one please clarify? And I believe I got the phrase right - if not, its some thing like 'sleep .... it'.

In the United States we say "sleep on it". For example: You have a big problem and there are two ways to solve it. The best way to make the decision is to "sleep on it".

    I hope that helps.
