    Hi,

    could you please explain the meaning of the following sentence:

    If you cannot attach true value with supporting data then please challenge yourselves on the merit of defending it.

    Does it say that if you cannot prove the value using specific data, you should at least try to defend it?

    No, it means that you should ask yourself if it is worth defending it in the absence of specific supporting data.
