    Cool beer-slinging

May a beer-slinging man mean something like a person who takes shelter from problems by drinking a lot of beer?

    Thank You

    Re: beer-slinging

To me, it sounds like they get argumantative after a few drinks and will throw drinks over people as an act of aggression. Hae you got more context?

The sentence where found it is: Bud is an apathetic, beer-slinging, lovable loser who is coasting through a life that has nearly passed him by.

Very grateful for your help and interest.

Given the context it seems to mean "heavy drinker" but I have never come across this expression before.
