I did not always go there

Does it mean: I rarely went there or I often went there but not as regular as always?
Can we use: I always did not go there?

    Cheers

It means you went to other places as well.
Perhaps a concrete example would help. In a certain city, sometimes you went to Pub A for a drink, and sometimes you went to pub B.
So, if I said "You always went to Pub A", you would say:
"I did not always go there (sometimes I went to Pub B).

No, you can't say "I always did not go there".
