Meaning of ' Extremely Loving '

Hi teachers, I would be grateful if you can tell me the meaning of this phrase. I found this phrase in the love compatibility of horoscope.

I have asked many of my friends and the meanings they gave me were ambiguous, saying it has nothing to do with love. It totally baffles me.

    Thanks in advance!

It has two meanings, compassionate beyond measure; affectionate beyond measure.

Re: Meaning of ' Extremely Loving '

I am sure Frank knows what loving means. It's the 'extremely' part that raises doubts, I think.
You'll understand such over-descriptive phrases better if you understand the western culture and way of thinking. Westerners generally tend to exaggerate and overstate things compared to Asians. For example, words like 'absolutely', 'awesome', 'gorgeous', fabulous', 'out-of-this-world' are popular and commonly used.
Asians on the other hand are comparatively more restrained and tend to downplay and understate things. 'Quite beautiful' usually means 'very beautiful'. 'Quite loving' would mean 'very loving'.
Extremely loving is just another way of the westerners saying 'very loving', something which the average Asian would cringe at.

The native English teachers here who are based in Asia would understand what I am talking about better.
