    jet *** ?

    hello,

last time i participated in a training, the teacher came from Wales,
after a long flight (maybe 15 hours?)

To express his uncomfortable feeling of the long flight & also
bad feeling resulted from time differences, he said
"I could not fall asleep in the hotel due to jet ***".

I did not catch the word ***, do you know which word this *** could be?

    thanks!
    charly

(not a professional teacher) The missing word is "lag", from the phrase "jet lag".

    From Onelook.com:

fatigue and sleep disturbance resulting from disruption of the body's normal circadian rhythm as a result of jet travel

    Re: jet *** ?

jet lag = fatigue and sleep disturbance resulting from disruption of the body's normal circadian rhythm as a result of jet travel through changing time zones.

    Regards
