    Re: raise, rise, increase

raise: v. elevate, lift; excite, arouse; cause, bring about; grow, cultivate
rise: v. stand up, get into an upright position; get out of bed; climb, ascend, move upward; rebel, revolt; , grow; appear over the horizon; come back to life, return from the dead; puff up, swell; originate in, begin in
increase: v. enlarge, add to, augment; multiply, heighten, intensify
another difference is that rise is an intranstive verb while raise is a transitive one. increase can be transitive and intransitive according to the context
