    Agreed; however, Chiru may be asking about while vs when. (That is, you may want to backup/support your claim. After all, just because you say it's so, doesn't make it so. )

    Sorry, but I don't see a difference in that context either.

    Sorry I am so late returning your call. You called while/when I was in class.

    Either way, I was in class and was unable to answer my phone.
