    In recent weeks, the coverage about protests, riots, explosions and attacking on police and officials increase suddenly.

    Last Saturday, a riot happened in Yuannan near Myanmar’s boundary. According to China’s state-owned media, around 500 rubber peasants taking with swords and steel rods attacked on police; At least 2 people died and 14 were injured during the clash.

    (What do you mean by rubber peasants? Peasants who are rubber tappers? Peasants from the rubber estates?)

    I would used "rubber tappers". "Peasants" is not really a good word for these workers who do have a specific job and skill.
