    Smile the diferent no and not

    hi I would like knowing in what case can I use no and not and how can I
    identify the use for each I hope you can give me some examples

    No can be thought of as an equivalent of not any.

    You can use it before a noun to explain what you do not have/did not get.

    I have no money.

    I have no friends.

    I got no answer.

    Not is used to give negative meaning, often after a verb.

    I have not (haven't) got any money.

    I do not (don't) have any friends.

    I will not (won't) answer his call.

    This is a very basic explanation.
