    Which are correct:


    1-I'd rather tell it to you myself than you hear it from someone else.

    2-I thought it was better to tell it to you myself rather than you heard it from someone else.
    3-I thought it would be better if I told you myself rather than you heard it from someone else.
    4-I thought it would be better if I told you myself than if you heard it from someone else.

    5-I thought it was better to tell it to you myself instead of your hearing it from someone else.

    Well that is what it means, but are the sentences correct. My problem is not expressing that specific idea. I want to see if those structures work.

    It is better that A should stay here rather than that B should go there.
    It is better for A to stay here than for B to go there.
