    ''go well'' vs ''do well''

"Everything was going well went wrong to Camp Four and on summit attempt everything went wrong."

    Hi,
I'd like to know if "to go well" and "to do well" mean the same, please.
When I want to know if someone is "going well" I say "How are you doing?". Can I say "How are you going?"?.
How about "things', please? "How are things doing/going?"?
When I want to encourage someone, I say "You'll do fine!". Can I say "You'll go fine"?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I'd like to know if "to go well" and "to do well" mean the same, please. Something can go or do well. The preparations are going well. His business is (doing)(going) very well.

People and other living things do well.
