Ans _ They kicked-off and got to work and had a touchdown in five minutes of the first quarter.
They took the kick-off ... (I think the exercise is to correct the tense of the verb, not the verb itself)

    (b) After a long day it is always good to lay down.
Ans: After a long day it is always good to lie down. Yes

    (c) Any one who rides a bicycle every day will discover that they develop some muscles not developed in jogging.
This is becoming more common and acceptable by many - the "singular they". It's main use is to avoid using "he" when "she" might also be appropriate. Something like this is necessary in English because we don't have a gender neutral 3rd person singular pronoun for people.
Ans: Any one who rides a bicycle every day will discover that he develops some muscles not developed in jogging.

    (d) If he is absent he will fail the course.
Ans: He will fail in the course if he is absent.
    d) is correct. Perhaps that's why you chose to invert it. But your correction is basically the same sentence.

    (e) If he goes to night school. He would take a course in hotel management.
Ans: He would take a course in hotel management. If he goes to night school.
If he goes to night school, he will take a course in hotel management.
If he went to night school, he would take a course in hotel management.
Again, I don't think changing the order of the sentence is the purpose of the exercise.

    (f) People who take a lot of pictures sometimes find that you get tired carrying a camera, and they often stop taking pictures all at once, the way some people stop smoking.
Ans: People who take a lot of pictures sometimes find that they get tired carrying a camera, and often stop taking pictures all at once, the way some people stop smoking. Yes

    (g) After we isolate the bacteria they are treated carefully by us.
Ans: After we isolate the bacteria we treat it.carefully. Yes, possibly this is what they want. Bacteria is strictly the plural of bacterium, but I'm not sure whether that's the issue here.
