Two local daycare center have similar names. One is Heaven Sent Childcare and the other is Heavenly Sent Childcare. Which, if either, is correct?
When it comes to business names, there really is no such thing as grammatically correct. The owner strives to have a memorable name that catches the eye of potential customers and one that looks good on his display sign. For example, a barber shop might call itself "Shear Heaven." Technically speaking, the phrase should be "sheer heaven." But the proprietor is making a pun, using "shear" in the sense of cutting hair.
But, in the most literal sense, "Heaven Sent" is the name that is grammatically correct.
