    300 Miles

    Dear friends and Teachers,

    A. I'm a busy engineer working 300 miles from home for past 6 years.

    - In my opinion "I'm a busy engineer working 300 miles AWAY from home for THE past 6 years." is much better, correct?

    Thanks a million!

I do not see a need for including "away". By saying "300 miles from home", it is implicit that you are away from home.

"the past six years" is correct.
