Question Past Simple and Past Continuous

    Are these sentences correct?

When Jane was having her Saturday job at a flower shop last year she always sent me flowers.
I wrote to them as soon as I knew my travel dates.
My grandmother was looking after me when I was little.

    Incorrect.

When Jane had her Saturday job at a flower shop last year she was always sending me flowers.

Having can be used in a continuous tense when referring to experience.

I was having a good time.

However not when used in a possesive sense.

    I have a nice car.

I wrote to them as soon as I knew my travel dates.

    Fine.

My grandmother was looking after/looked after me when I was little.

    Fine.
    I am not a teacher.
