Post How to remember new vocabulary?

    Hi`
I don't know how to write a good essay. However, if I learn a lot of vocabulary, I will write a good essay. I always forget all new words. It makes me I don't know how to do that. Can you give me some advice?

Write them out ten times with their meanings. Then use them in five different sentences.

Don't try to learn too many words at a time; learn a few and use them repeatedly; if you learn them and then don't use them,. you will forget them pretty quickly. Knowing a lot of words does not mean that you will automatically be able to write good essays. You need to have good ideas and be able to organise your ideas well, so read essays and similar texts to see how other people do it and become familiar with them.

Make a short list of new words and make up a silly, funny, crazy story that incluedes them. Look for synomyms or antonyms. Learn phrases which are common and therefore useful.
