    Prepositions at and in

    hello

    1.
    a) ‘Driving accidents take more lives each year than all the wars fought at that same time period.’

How would the meaning change if instead of preposition ‘at’ we would use ‘in’ instead:

‘Driving accidents take more lives each year than all the wars fought in that same time period.’

    Which is correct and why?

    b) Similarly, how would the meaning change if instead of:

‘We use this term for young persons between the ages of 13 and of 19.’

    we omitted the preposition ‘of’:

‘We use this term for young persons between the ages 13 and 19.’

    Which is correct and why?

    Thank you

The term that is usually used is automobile accidents. Try:
Automobile accidents take more lives each year than all the wars fought during the same time period.

That one is used. The other isn't.
